Hi. my name is Amy, and I am a self confessed dog nerd! We are named after the family dog, Daisy, who was a cocker spaniel with all of the typical cocker attitude. I grew up in Mickleover on Station Road and have family who were born in Mickleover and have lived here their whole lives. I went to school in Allestree so I know the area like the back of my hand. I have been a dog walker for three years and I cant imagine doing anything else now!

 

I am an experienced dog handler and owner of a 5 year old Lurcher. I had Obi from a puppy and he was a handful to say the least! I asked my dog walker, Liane at the Little Hound in Mansfield, for help and she taught me so much about working breed dogs and dog training.  I went on to work for Liane where she taught me even more about dog walking, group walks and training behavioural issues on walks. Liane has been a dog walker for 9 years and has a wealth of experience that she continues to teach me. Liane is now my closest personal friend and we see each other frequently for dog walks and beach trips with Obi and her beagles. I relocated back to Derby and wanted to continue working with dogs and thus started Daisy's Dog Walking!

 

 Here at Daisy's Dog Walking we love everything canine. We don't expect behavioural perfection from dogs and don't believe in the 'perfect' dog. Our dog's are perfect to us and that is all that matters! I love every dog I walk and consider them a member of the family whilst in my care. I have hands on professional experience working with anxious, fearful and reactive dogs beyond being the owner of an anxious dog. I have worked with traumatised rescue dogs and dogs who have been attacked and bitten. I am constantly pursuing further education on dog training through courses and research based in current and modern scientific research. This ensures that I can provide the best knowledgeable and experienced care for your furry best friend. I enjoy being able to understand dogs and their behaviours and it has made me such an understanding and patient pet professional. I truly love my job!

Hi, my name is Dan. I have always wanted a dog but never had the opportunity due to my shift pattern. I have taken every opportunity to walk family and friends dogs. I'd regularly take them out to local parks and countryside walks on my days off. When I met Amy I absolutely fell in love with Obi. I take Obi out searching for new walks every week and take an active role in his training and care. Being a dog owner has been a huge responsibility but such a rewarding and hilarious experience. 

I have been working as a courier for the past 12 years and have been wanting a change for a while. We discussed joining the team and here I am now walking dogs for Daisy's Dog Walking and loving it! Getting to know the dogs and their personality and quirks is so fun. I wish I'd done it sooner! I love playing with the dogs and getting involved with them on the walk. I come home covered in mud from playtime! I look after the dogs I walk as if they were Obi, I wouldn't expect any less for my own dog. I'm so excited to meet the new dogs joining our walks!
